“Coats do Roam”
Kelchner Cleaners has made the first delivery of freshly cleaned coats to Friend, Inc in Kutztown, PA. Kelchner Cleaners has been collecting gently used winter items to clean and distribute to Friend for the last 35 years. Thanks to the community at large the coat drive was a huge success! Over 175 coats along with snowsuits, hats, gloves, scarves, comforts and blankets were donated for distribution to our neighbors in need. These items will be made available for participating folks who rely on the food pantry for resources to support and improve their lives. Catherine Dill, Projects Manager, was grateful for the delivery at a time when temperatures were expected to dip into single digits overnight for the next several days. We are so thankful for the wonderful outpouring of community spirit and the positive impact the donations will provide to the greater Berks community residents.
